John Lennon: 10/9/40 – 12/8/80

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

So many memories. Howard Cosell announcing this on monday night football. The 1st time I saw Bruce was the day after. He came onto the stage and talked about what John Lennon ment to him then gave the best show I've ever seen

I was at that show as well. It was the 2nd night of Back-to-back Bruce shows. We came out of the first show, not knowing what had happened - and the radio (WMMR) was playing all Beatles songs. Then (I think it was) Michael Tearson came on and said something like: "For those of you coming out of the Bruce concert ...."

We were devastated.

Back to Bruce the next night, the show transcended music - and brought 16,000 plus people together.
